So an LJ/6A employee posted this earlier today (bold is my own):

Dear LiveJournal user radiovolume,

Thank you for contacting us with your feedback, and I apologize that LiveJournal and Six Apart's actions have left you so disappointed. Your request is in a private area of the support board that only LiveJournal employees may access. This is to ensure that your feedback receives proper handling from as enior member of our support staff, rather than one of our volunteers.

I apologize for the delay in getting a public update out to our concerned community members. Please expect more information regarding the situation later this evening in the lj_biz journal.

Please know that in the interest of employee confidentiality, we are unable to discuss human resource issues with people outside the company. However, we do recognize the negative effects of comments of this nature on the wider LiveJournal community, regardless of the intention behind the comments themselves, and so please be assured that this type of behavior is not condoned by Six Apart.

I understand that you may not trust us enough at this time to renew your account. If you do not feel the paid account benefits are worth the amount we are charging, or if you continue to be dissatisfied with the site's management, we encourage you to not renew your account until you are satisfied. We don't want any LiveJournal users to send us payment for our service unless they will be satisfied with what they'll receive. We sincerely hope that, over the next few months, we will be able to re-earn your trust as a paid account holder.

So LJ/6A,

By my clock, it's past midnight on the west coast where LJ/6A is headquartered, and yet, there is no response. I'm not terribly surprised, because I don't trust you, at all. Period.

I'll use your service, because my fandom's are here, and it's the easiest way to get access to the fandoms, but I've never paid a cent to you, while I'm just waiting to get money before I'll pay IJ and JF for accounts. I can trust them, and they'll tell me upfront what's allowed.

What bugs me most is your inability to talk to us. You treat us like we're nothing, like our business means nothing to you, but there would be no LiveJournal without us, the users. Overall does Fandom make up a large percentage of the journals? No, but we are a very large part of the active user base.

Sorry's not going to cut it this time for so many of us. You can't sweet-talk us anymore, or send [info]burr86 out to reassure us.

You've crossed a line by not telling us what is and is not acceptable on your site. And it is your site, a fact which most of us realize and accept, and you have the right to restrict what is on your servers. BUT, you have to give us a clear TOS that explains EXACTLY what is allowed and what a TOSable offense is. We are not the only ones to be held accountable here. You have your responsibilities as well.

Be responsible for once. Talk to us. Be straight up, don't dance around the facts. If you don't want us here, say so. We'll go, permanently.

No love,

Please take a moment to read [info]girl_harry's rules post and reply to it *exactly* as requested in the application procedure. I request this of all applicants to ensure that everyone has carefully read the community's rules. Once you've done that, I'll approve your membership without delay. :D

All best,

Sorry about that!

I friended the community a couple days ago, and just now decided to join, so I forgot about going back to the rules post. It's now taken care of.
